Summary:

A Packaging Project Manager is a leader of Packaging and Labeling based projects for two business units. Types of projects can include packaging design, material changes, supplier updates, process improvements, standards changes, cost reduction, corrective actions and labeling changes.

Responsibilities:



  • People Management: Manages medium-sized (occasionally multi-site) cross-functional teams; leads teams effectively; provides input to functional managers on team and team member performance.



  • Packaging/Labeling Technical Management: Manages the technical challenges of implementing the solution; identifies, communicates, and manages moderate levels of technical risk.



  • Project/Program Management: Manages key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develops and implements project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan. For the execution of Corporate aligned projects, individual will co-coordinate strategy, planning and execution appropriately.



  • Process Management: Leads team to complete activities to current policies and practices; keeps documentation organized, updates Design History File for the project. Identifies process improvements affecting project(s).



  • Communications and Reviews: Responsible for team and cross-functional communications; liaison between the team and Management; leads business and quality reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.

    Qualifications:

    BS Degree (Minimum Engineering/Technical field desired, Packaging Engineering preferred).

    Seven+ years experience (three of which are project management) along with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

    Business experience demonstrated through business knowledge, leadership skills and process development capabilities.

    Project Management coursework required.

    Labeling/Graphics development and management experience is a plus.

    Medical device/Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
